My MacBook Pro has a screen resolution of 3024 x 1964 px.

My iPhone has a screen resolution of 1170 x 2532 px.

All my external monitors, TVs, and touch screens around my house are crisp, high-definition screens.

It's easy to take for granted and assume that everyone on the Internet is using HD monitors to display pixel-perfect graphics with deep, dark blacks and rich, vibrant colors.

However, in 2023, the most common mobile screen resolution in the world is 360 x 800 px, a third of the resolution of a new iPhone.

The most common desktop screen resolution is 1920 x 1080 px, dominating nearly 25% of the entire computing market.

Whatever creative project you're working on, it'll likely be viewed on a small screen and the audio will be played through speakers the size of a quarter.

The next time you get caught up in pixel perfection in Photoshop, After Effects, or Final Cut Pro, remember that not even a measurable fraction of the world will see it at the quality.

Whatever it is, your message needs to be universal.
