I've been making music for over fifteen years. In that time, I've collected guitars, synths, plugins, microphones, noise makers, and boxes of doo-dads that I use for all sorts of creative musical projects.

But today, I recorded a song with just my guitar and voice. It's been a while since I've done that. It felt freeing to put a limit on what I could make.

I couldn't grab a new instrument to fill out the chorus. I couldn't pull up a synth plugin to make some airy and wavy noises. No classic drum machines.

Just me and my guitar. I felt like a kid again when it wasn't all so serious.
